Oh, that sounds quite lovely!  I'll have to check that out the next time I'm out and about. Thank you, Poopy!

That had better be a typo!   >:(

I just tested it again, Pavillon des Fleurs is pretty much gone after 3 hours on my wrists.  But very fresh & pretty.

Three hours isn't too bad. Since it has the same top note and finish, it would be easy enough to reapply without having to wait for the (?) dry down?

I don't know all these perfumy terms.  :D

Could have fooled me!  Drydown is definitely a term.  It's sometimes used synonymously with when the heart (middle) or base notes show up, but it's actually when it is no longer wet.  It's usually my favorite part of a fragrance.

My experience with Pavilion des Fleurs is that when sprayed, it comes out of the gate strong with the opening notes (slightly fruity jasmine, lily, and other white flowers), then stays pretty linear (without evolution/changing) but continues to get closer to the skin (aka weaker).

Hi,

Does anyone remember (not sure of the spelling, but I bought it all the time in the late 60's early 70's...it was Yardleys 'O de London'.  I could pick that smell out with my eyes closed.  All of the current scents seem to smell so strong...if anyone remembers that scent and has located something similar, I'd love to hear about it....longing for the sweet smells of yesteryear!

I couldn't find that here but Vermont Country Store has a number of older fragrances and takes requests so you could put in a request and hope they fill it if your favorite isn't commonly available. They do that with lots of products.

I happen to love Je Revien by Worth and it appears they have it. Fortunately I've been seeing it at some other places online as well.

I remember wearing that fragrance -- it was light and fresh if I recall correctly. I have such fondness for the old Yardley cosmetics. Ah, sweet memories.

I used to love that one when I was in college, many years ago.  I wonder if it still smells the same.  It was beautiful then.
