Les Exclusifs de CHANEL
« on: January 20, 2011, 10:17:21 AM »
I got up this morning only to receive both good and bad news: The Exclusifs de Chanel, some of which are to die for; are now available in a smaller size. The bad news is that they are still a bit pricey, but more affordable overall.

They are now in 2.5 ounce bottles and are of course EDT; but Gardenia, No. 22, and Beige are within reach!

I received my e-mail this morning, and I admit I am tempted.

I just don't think I want to spend that much for an EDT---a little smaller maybe, and at least an EDP instead? Then I would bite! :)

EDT is the only reason I have not purchased Chanel Eau Tendre. I adore the scent, but it fades too quickly.

Right. It is just not worth all the money; I have never liked EDTs anyway for the very reason that they do not last.

This is good news.  I have been wanting the Gardenia for a very long time but 200ml was just a ridiculous amount of product.    I hope I still like it as much as I did 2 year ago.  :-\

Good lord, Eurodivas----we must be soul sisters, at least as far as fragrance is concerned! I felt exactly the same way; which is why I really looked at this email!

I have never tried Eau Tendre. Is it nice?

I love it. It is delicate without screaming FLORAL. In fact, I smell only citrus, greens, maybe something a little musky ... My husband likes it better on me than No. 19. :pout:

I have only samples, but I might have to cave in and buy the EDT. I like Eau Tendre more than the original Chance.

I love Eau Tendre and don't think it's anything like Chance (don't like that one at all.) I do like Chance Eau Fraiche, though, for summer.
  • Complexion: fair neutral
  • Eyes: boring brown
  • Hair: dark brown (over the grey), coarse, naturally curly but treated with keratin

I haven't smelled Eau Fraiche. Regular Chance is too spicy for me, and not in a good way. The word cloying comes to mind, but it's all subjective isn't it. I am sure lots of people love it, and I would probably think it smells wonderful on them.

Yay!  Thanks for the good news.    Although 30 ml would be even better--a girl can dream, right?!

I never cared for Chance either, at least on me. I have never smelled the Eau Fraiche version.

I never knew Chanel had exlusifs.

So, you just had to go and tell me?

I used to love number 19, so I might love some other fragrances by Chanel, too.

Although I am so fickle a 0.5 oz or 15 ml bottle would be enough for me! Maybe even a 5 ml bottle.
  • Complexion: NC 15 winter, NC 20 summer. Still oily.
  • Eyes: Blue
  • Hair: Very fine + wavy / curly. Would naturally be light or medium blonde - I think! Who knows?

Oh, yes! I did not like it either. Makes them harder to get and more expensive !
