Thanks for the advice. I can be a bit hasty sometimes. My DH is someone who hates change, but I am a bit restless. Having read your posts, I'm beginning to think that getting rid of the bathtub is not such a good idea...

I found a narrow but deep tub, only 5.5 feet long, but nice and and deep for soaking...

This is exactly what we did. Replaced the original contractor's cheap shallow tub with a real tub that is heavy, narrow, not very long, but deep! It fit the space of the old tub perfectly.

I have a question:  How long do you soak?
  • Complexion: NW15-20; slight rosacea; getting drier
  • Eyes: Blue-gray
  • Hair: Dark blonde with gray, thick, wavy, getting drier

I aim for 15/20m max, but I have sort of fallen asleep a couple of times... not deeply, just a kind of slumber...

That's what I'm always concerned about - that I'll doze off. :lol:

Now I have something else to worry about.  I need to get a tub alarm for you ladies who fall asleep in your baths!

Cute idea. But I think the water going up my nostrils would be alarm enough for me!
