Zoya Nail Polish
« on: August 22, 2011, 01:00:14 PM »
I recently ordered three of these polishes, which are free of toluene, formaldehyde, DBP and camphor.  I had a coupon offer for buy one, get two free, so it seemed the perfect time for trying something new.

My initial reaction is that there is no need to go back to my old toxic polishes, when these are so gorgeous!  With over 300 shades to choose from, I was hard-pressed to narrow down my list.  The site descriptions are very helpful, including warm and cool designations.

I ended up with Zanna, a light rose-mauve, Bethany, a pink nude, and Pasha, a silver taupe.

Do you know about the site nailgal dot com where you can see swatches of thousands of different colors before you buy? I love that site! :nail:

I love the way these Zoya polishes apply -- they are thin enough to do 2 or even 3 light coats, which I believe makes a manicure last longer.  I was hoping some of you would tell me your favorites so I can get more!

Linda:  I love how the 3 pictures look together.  Sort of like a blush, a highlighter, and an eyeshadow, ya know?  Hey - that's a good way to choose nail colors that will look good on me!

I love zoya, too. I'm lucky enough to have a retailer that carries this brand. I keep forgetting to purchase the nail polish remover. A lot of people like this brand, too.  I may have to add the beauty shop to my list of places to visit this weekend.

Did you know that their site offers "Color Spoons" that have nail-shaped tips filled with the exact polish you want to order?  With these you  can see what the shade will look like next to your skin.  Plus, they ship free and the 50-cent cost will be applied to your next order, for as many as you like.

I should probably state that I am not affiliated with Zoya in any way, but I am thrilled with their products and service.  I can't see using anything else!

<adds Zoya nail polish as #2 on new list>

I must have had my head in the sand because I'd never heard of Zoya. Any recommended sites to order it online?

I also hadn't heard of Zoya before. Looking at the website -- wow!!

For those of you who have used their products, any negatives to look out for? Are all the products of high quality?

Yes, I'd love some specific recs for warm-toned skin!

This is my first experience with Zoya after hearing about them for years.  I had long been thinking of switching to a "3 free" brand, and when I received an email offer for buy one, get two free, well....something just came over me!

I have tried all three from my order and have no complaints.  They apply smoothly with no bubbles, clumps, or streaks.  They last a good 10 days on my fingers and longer on my toes.

Next I plan to try some of their other products -- remover, base coat, etc.

SusieQ:  Alternating nail colors has been the fashion for a while, but I think I am too old to pull that one off. :P

Linda:  Check the shade descriptions...each one tells if it is a cool or warm shade.  There are MUA reviews as well.  If in doubt, order some color spoons.  You have nothing to lose but time with those!

Hey, I got on the Zoya bandwagon a couple of years ago.   Its a wonderful resource for color obsessed beauties looking for the exact shade of *whatever* to enhance their skin tone.

I love the polish remover and I love the bottle it comes in.   Its the kind that, after you flip open the top, just hold the cotton ball on the top and push it down a few times.  The remover squirts up on to the cotton!  No more worries about spilling an open bottle of remover.

The descriptions will tell you how opaque, frosty, creamy or otherwise the particular polish is.
