LL Bean Deerfield boots arrived

These boots are everything I hoped for - everything. I have a wide foot and they are wide enough for me to wear socks!

Also, as noted on their site, the wider widths have a wider, adjustable calf circumference and I can actually snug them up a bit. One of the reasons I am selling some old boots has to do with the calf area being too snug for me.

I chose brown - very versatile in my wardrobe and area - and they are beautifully made. I can see that these will last a long, long time! Worth every penny if they do last and, at $169, that's not terribly expensive.

Oh yes, they are VERY nice indeed and the price isn't bad at all. I meant to buy some boots last winter but didn't. It's a lovely option in Australia but probably not essential in most parts. These are just the type I would have got. Perhaps next winter - it's coming up to summer now.

Enjoy wearing them. You will look very modern and edgy and, more importantly or at least on a more practical note, you will be protected and warm.

Oh they are gorzwah!  You will wear them well and for a long time. They're "in", too. You are going to love these, every penny.

It's hard to believe that Brazilian leather boots are selling for $169 at LL Bean, but they are. And it's not a sale price! I was on the fence for some time about which ones to choose, but these will work for me for both casual and dress. I'm psyched!

Tupelo - those are so beautiful. I was very tempted by them but decided that my overall lifestyle is more casual. Seeing those again, and your comment about price with which I completely agree, I'm desirous of them all over again.

Alas, I have my list of things for DH to choose from finished, including URLs and color/size information, as far as the "big" stuff is concerned. Now I'm adding things like socks and slipper insoles - I love Vermont Country Store for those kinds of things. Somehow I think sneaking a full pair of gorgeous boots might not slip past him. :lol:

As Cougar said to me, these are lifetime boots. Timeless style, well made, worth resoling should the need arise (my father resoled his shoes all the time and they always looked brand new, even after years of wear), and I can tell that the fit and construction are such that they will just become more comfortable with time and wear.

You two are both going to love your new boots - each in her own style.  I am so envious that you live where boots are comfortable all winter.  (I know you are only trying to survive the cold and snow you get, but I think it would be great!)

I'm wearing them right now! They feel so good as I move about and stretch around in them. I love that there's rooms for real socks too. And I'm about to go out in sub-freezing temps with snow on the ground. Yay!

Well, now I want a pair in black as well. :lol:

These feel so good and look great. Even DH thinks they are well made and a good buy. Of course his sneakers go for $130 a pair so I don't think he can complain too much since I'm selling shoes and boots and my recent purchase was my first for my feet in over a year.
