As of yesterday,my fingernails are wearing Essie "Chinchilly." It's a dove gray (creamy, not metallic) with maybe a hint of lavender. I really like this color.

Prior to this I was wearing Chanel's Quartz. I applied it on New Year's Eve and three weeks later (yesterday) it still had not chipped! Amazing! There was only a little wear at the edges of the nail tips, and the manicure looked fine except for the bare space that had grown out next to the cuticles.

I use Nailtiques as a base coat and Seche Vite top coat.

What color is your manicure now?

For my CND shellac mani yesterday I chose "Purple Purple." It's deep purple with a touch of graphite and no shimmer.

My last mani was French.

Dove gray sounds gorgeous!

Giving my Zoya Yasmeen(dark purple shimmer ) another chance. The top coat helps will probably switch it out for something more conservative later in the week.

Nothing special...no, really! Sally Hansen Age Correct Strength. It's discontinued but I have some left. It gives a very natural blush to the nails when that's all I want.

Fingers are only buffed to a shine. Toes are OPI Cajun Shrimp which is my favorite bright coral pink. I think it has been discontinued.

I promise that you won't be disappointed. I love that you can put regular polish on top of the gel so don't have to throw out any of your polish. Then, take non-acetone and you have your gel color back! I picked up another gel polish called Ligth Elegance. I need to post a picture of the gel polish.

Love the Smiley! Sorry. DH worked late last night so I had double duties with DS. It's Friday and DH said that he wasn't going to work late so I'llb e able to play with my computer a little bit tonight and will download the picture. I am actually going to put on regular polish tonight and see if it really works like they advertised.

This is a meter for my life craziness. I posted that 5 days ago. No polish has gone on so the filing has started again before I attempt polish. Maybe tomorrow.

Yes, that's the gel color. I was going to paint a regular color over to find if it does what they say it does.

But, I mopped the kitchen floor instead and that lead from one chore to another. Next thing I know, it is dark outside. I'll it putting on a darker polish tonight.

I went to the bank on Saturday and the teller knew that I was wearing shellac since she had it on, too. While my local mani wants $40 she is able to get hers for $23. For $23, I probably would have not have purchased my kit. I told her about my home kit and she wanted to know where I bought it. I am enjoying the home gel kit because the look of the home gel mani still looks the same as it did last Saturday. My mom is coming to visit this weekend so I'll give her a mani.

Yes, it think it's going to be lovely for the summer.

Yes, the gel polish can be removed. The kit comes with the removal solution and instructions. The procedure, per instructions, is similar to the method used at my salon...cotton balls and foil strips. It will take 10 minutes. I'm going to take it off for the first time this weekend. I'll report back on whether the process is similar to the salon or not.

Looks great Marci! The length you have is what I want for my nails too. Actually, I don't really have a choice because they break easily. But, I think I'm the only woman who doesn't know how to shape her nails properly.

I have finally figured out that the shape of short nails has to echo the shape of your fingertips. Marci's nails have that square shape because that's how her fingertips are. At least, I think that is how it works.
