After I assured everyone of their chances to find one, I had to run in our CVS for a minute.  I glanced over at the cosmetics and saw a mostly empty box that held Color Tattoos at one time.  It sported one very lonely-looking shadow, and it was most definitely not Tough as Taupe.

Another one that is getting a some play on youtube is the Bad to the Bronze. It's being compared to MAC Painterly paint pot.  It's nice that the d/s brands are givig the h/e brands a run for their money.   :)

Lucky day yesterday.  Found Tough as Taupe!  I had already purchased Bad to the Bronze so the post above is good news too.

Does anyone know how long cream shadows last without drying out once they are opened?  I haven't removed the plastic on either of these yet, since I have BB Cement going and I don't wear e/s a lot. Maybe these products will change that!

I looked at Bad to the Bronze, but it appears to be a golden brown that would be too warm for me.  Pretty, though, for the rest of you.

I am glad you finally found the Tough as Taupe, Marci - Let us know how you like it!

About cream shadows:  I have had my Bobbi Brown ones open for more than a year and they are fine.  I always, always make sure they are tightly closed as soon as possible and store them upside down.  That last may be an urban legend, but I do it anyway just in case...right before I throw a pinch of salt over my left shoulder and mutter an incantation to the makeup spirits.

LOL!

Marci, if you are referring to the tattoos, I'm not sure since they are fairly new in the market. Some people swear that MAC last forever but it never hurts to follow urban legends.

My MAC Painterly is upside down even as we speak.

From reviews of Tough As Taupe: One reviewer compares it to Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Cream Shadow in Slate.  A couple of others called it the Paint Pot version of MAC Copperplate.  Now that I think of it, I can see the similarity.  Everyone seems to think it is more gray than brown, if that helps anyone still considering a purchase.

Walmart had the best price, unless you see a special sale somewhere. :)

I think that the only difference is that the paint pot - I have it in Bare Study - that it creases on me after a 4 fours. The tattoos do not. The color seems to fade a bit after 8-9 hours but I found that they don't crease. I've used them as based, too.

I finally scored Tough as Taupe for myself. Seems like it was weeks ago and maybe it was. I haven't even had time to test it out for myself yet! Once it was put out it appears that the word about it hadn't gotten out in the small town where I found it so they had lots. I was with DH or I would have examined the other colors as well but I had promised I was looking for "just one thing" and he was in the store with me so I didn't dare dawdle.

I'll be giving it a test drive sometime this week - possibly I'll find time to squeeze some makeup into my schedule tomorrow before I go to an appointment! :woohoo:

I hope you like it, Styyna.  I use it everyday but I've been using for my brows and to line my lower lashes.  It's a favorite this month!
