I received a sample of this new scent in the mail this week and I almost wish I hadn't.  I really like it and can't justify the price.  I am on a mission, therefore, to find something with similar notes.  If you are someone who doesn't mind spending a small fortune for a nice fragrance, this could be for you!  It is seriously beautiful, unique, French, and $400 for a 50 ml bottle.  Le sigh.

I would describe it as warm, soft, and sensual.  Just a drop is enough for me, and it lasts all day.

Notes: amber, oud, benzoin, Atlas cedar, vanilla and spices

I know!  Here's what I'm thinking...Amber Oud is part of Kilian's Arabian Nights collection.  I plan to look for an Arabian fragrance oil with some/most/all of these notes.  I think the combination of cedar and amber is what I like.  Well, and the vanilla.  Plus the spices, the benzoin, the oud...

Maybe I can just get a decant?  Are there mortgages for Golden Retrievers?

I read you found a lovely parfume and cannot justify the price. I thoughyt, well, how bad could it be? When I saw the price...gaah! It must be the most expensive that exists!

the refill costs less than half of the original!!

Also, did you see some people have received samples via Facebook, on By Kilian´s page?

If I absoultely loved the scent, I might, just might, be able to justify the 125 Euro price to myself. If I never bought new clothes anymore...and ate just gruel for the next six months... Have I enabled you yet?

  anne!  Thank you for the enabling support!  Honestly, though, I would never spend so much on any perfume.  I balk at the $100 ones, even when my DH buys one for me as a special gift.  (Usually Chanel and only very recently)  He first bought me some Tabu, years ago, and I loved it.

My sample is from the Facebook offer.  I just went to his page and joined the club.  He sent me a lovely trial atomizer in a black envelope with a black, gold-lettered note card describing the scent and its intended effect.  All I could think of was Yum!

No, I intend to use this experience as instruction on some combined notes that I find pleasing.  I never had tried an oud or anything with cedar, although I love the woody scents.  I also knew I loved amber with vanilla, so now I know even more about a scent I can search for.  One that does not cost $400!

I do have a birthday in April...
