I made one exception to the non-celeb fragrance rule: Lovely by SJP. I think she actually worked on the fragrance and didn't just slap her name on it. Either way, I think it's truly "lovely." I did not like her other fragrance, Covet.

Call me a snob if you want, but I won't buy any of those on principle.

Exactly what I mean. If I am considered a snob, then it is because people don't really know me; but then people tend to have a lot of opinions about other people whom they don't really know! So I don't care. But I agree; you hit the nail on the head. It is the principle.

Ah, my sisters!  I also won't buy logo clothes, purses or shoes.  I'm not advertising for those companies, nor am I so desperate to 'buy class' by identifying with their brands.  Its the principle of the thing.

There is nothing wrong with you. Not one single thing. Any fault lies with the fashion/cosmetic/marketing industry that has trained you with false proof to believe that you’re not perfect.

Absolutely. Brand recognition is the primary reason why I no longer buy Coach unless it's plain colored leather. I don't need no steenkin' label advertising to the world what I bought. I don't think I could even be tempted into an IT bag. OK, maybe if someone gave me a Birkin in a non-hideous color.

I make it a personal policy to wear no legible clothing.

I'm going to see my eye doctor soon...I read "Birkin" as Bikini.  I digress...I agree with the celebs scents. They are too expensive and some too stinky.  I take two showers a day and don't bother with perfume most days.

I've been loving perfume oils lately.  My favorite is Egyptian Goddess perfume oil that I slather everywhere.  I get this at Whole Food..not expensive.
