Gorgeous armoire.  I have one about that size and have had it for years.  It still doesn't store all my jewelry and I'm thinking of getting a larger one.  Let us know when it arrives and if it meets your needs and wants.

The tough part is where will it go in my overcrowded bedroom, and still have its doors be able to swing open?  Also, I wonder if I'll want something like a platform on casters to raise it higher and move it around?  Yes, I ponder things like this.

Lucy and Cougar- those are beautiful.  Putting it on casters is brilliant!
  • Complexion: Light with pink undertones but tan easily
  • Eyes: green with yellow flecks and a dark grey rim
  • Hair: medium dark brown with lightish highlights, very thick and almost curly

Drat.  It's begun.

The seller (I ordered through Amazon) updated the ticket back when I started this thread that the product shipped and gave a tracking number, which never worked.  They then emailed me and called me, asking if I still wanted the product, that it would not ship until March 14. I said yes but complained how could they say it had shipped and given a tracking number.

They charged my card. I complained through the Amazon system and filed a claim.

Now begins the long, slow process to get the charge off my card (before my credit rating is harmed) so I can then go purchase my armoire from some other seller.

Oh crap! Geez, I can't believe that they would have the audacity to charge your card and asked if you still want it shipped.  "Oh, gee, no and thank you for charging my account." Let us know how it goes and also let us know the seller so that no one else would darken their doorstep.  Good luck and I hope that everything goes well at the end.

I *think* I'm dealing with an overly small group of young persons trying to deal with a system that doesn't serve them well.  I opened a Claim in Amazon, called the company again, and asked if they were looking at the Claim emails.  It sounded like they didn't realize the folly.  The very next day I saw the charges backed out of my card.  Also, they said they *should* have the product by end of the week and will re-take my order and *then* charge my card, shipping it out.

I feel better.  I'm telling myself the delay is in spending and that's okay.  :lol:

But I really was gung ho about getting more organized and can't wait to start.

But today Amazon emailed formally that the charges are being backed out.  Friday I will check with the vendor to see if indeed they have that armoire.  If not, I'm back to the drawing board.  I so carefully comparison shopped the entire internet and local stores.  My thinking was that this was a good price (6 months interest free payments are a real attraction).  If it's going to be doubtful, I'll just go somewhere else and start all over again.

Once in a while something like this happens to me, but usually internet shopping is a lifesaver.  Better luck the second time around for this one!

The latest in the saga.

Friday, the Amazon seller said they'd have the armoire Monday and would take a new order from me over the phone.  Since it was outside Amazon, they couldn't put it on my Amazon ard and give me the 6-months interest free, but they'd knock 10% off the price for my troubles.  This sounded nice. But I then spoke to Amazon and they didn't recommend it as they couldn't guarantee anything, etc. and so forth.

So today, I found the armoire on QVC.  It costs a little more.  BUT they have it in stock and it ships 3/31.  So, I went with QVC.
