I think I remember reading that it's the mineral sunscreens such as zinc oxide and titanium oxide that cause the white effect in photos.  You might try ahead of time to take some pics with what you plan to wear and see how they look!

Wedding makeup tips always address this issue, BTW.

I actually ended up buying Elta Physical SPF 41 (tinted).  I really like it!  The tint provides a nice base, so I am not fussing w/foundation or TM.  Just a little concealer under eyes/around nose and I'm good to go!  The finish isn't greasy, it is easy to blend...I'll just be sure not to wear it during any special events with photos!

You're right makinalist!  It's the zinc ones and titanium dioxide ones.  I'll try out some before the trip.  All the photos of me from that trip look like I'm from Mars. 

I'll try that Ulta 41!  I don't have one with a tint, but that sounds perfect.
