Anna Wintour
« on: March 21, 2011, 05:11:58 PM »
Here's a link to an article about a new--and quite rare--interview with AnnaW.  Is she as powerful as Oprah?  Martha Stewart?  She's certainly a brand of her own...

I found her fascinating in September Issue.  Nobody I'd ever want to have any contact with, but fascinating.

Oh, Betty, I SO agree about Grace Coddington!  She fascinates me.  Did you see Anna's major valentine to Grace in her Letter From The Editor in the April issue of Vogue?

I agree-- I find Grace Coddington more creative and interesting than Anna.

Oh, I agree--I loved Grace Coddington.

It's just that I found Anna Eintpur fascinating in the way that I'm fascinated by crocodiles at the zoo, if that makes any sense.

There is nothing wrong with you. Not one single thing. Any fault lies with the fashion/cosmetic/marketing industry that has trained you with false proof to believe that you’re not perfect.

Of course, it would help if I spelled her last name correct instead of a typo.  But y'all knew who I meant.

Clearly, I find her positive reptilian.

Ms. Coddington is wonderful - the creative counterpoint to Anna Wintour's business focus. Ms. Wintour does not seem like an approachable individual, but she knows what she's doing as far as what moves fashion magazines these days, whether one agrees with her approach or not. Personally I'm more with Grace Coddington.

Yes, I watched September Issue, too and was fascinated.  I liked how she made fun of herself in comparing what she does with what her siblings do.  I have the feeling that her business persona is a shark, but domestically, she's a different person.

Who knows.
