Happened to see this - was puzzled!
« on: April 04, 2011, 10:30:58 PM »
At Walgreens, when passing by a display, I saw a new one with Revlon nail polish, that's scented, and it was billed as the first scented nail polish. Now, with all the fragrances that people are already applying with all their personal care products, doesn't this seem to be a little OTT? I mean, nail polish already stinks IMO.

You got me.  Sounds like something that would be marketed to pre-teens!  Revlon?  That surprises me.

Lancome has had scented polishes for some time.  I hated the smell.  They were "Juicy" IIRC and in round ball bottles.

I want to check the one that smells like cotton candy. But, Revlo's nail polishes alwasys chip on me after two days.  If they would just come up with a better nail polish product, I may just buy the lot because they are scented.

My fave Revlon Teak Rose has always lasted well on me.  Of course I only use it for pedicures.  I'm pretty sure I'm not flexible enough to be smelling my toe polish! :P

I think the idea of scenting nail lacquer, hopefully to mask the pernicious odor, is a good idea. The smell usually pervades the room.

Now, see - I didn't even think of that!  Now it doesn't seem so strange.

I had to buy something for my son last night and sniffed these. I did not smell anything but the regular abnoxious odor. The cotton candy, nothing. The orange, nothing. The cherry, arggg, nothing.  Maybe it's my sniffer. Anyone else had a chance to smell these?
