"These Foolish Things" (aka "The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel")
« on: August 24, 2012, 10:40:23 PM »
My library finally had this available for me. The book was originally called "These Foolish Things", however, the book I have to read is titled, "The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel", to tie it in with the movie, I guess.  I'm going to start reading it tonight.  I didn't get to see the movie (but wanted to)!  Has anyone else read this?

My mom said the movie was good, which made me want to read the book.  I hope you like it!

I've heard about it but I've been reading fantasy books lately.  I'm currently reading the 2nd book from Deborah Harkness - Shadow of Night. The first book is A Discovery of Withes.

Hey Listy, have you read these?  It's about witches and vampires. I think this is right up your alley, too.  I could not put down A Discory of Witches. I'm struggling thru Shadow of Night. Deborah is a gifted writer and it shows in these two books. But, the 2nd installment of her trilogy is hard to get thru. I feel like she's writing for the sake of writing.  That's only my opinion, of course.

I enjoyed the book very much!  Looking forward to seeing the movie.  I heard the DVD will be released next week.

The movie was absolutely WONDERFUL !! I didn't realize it was an adaptation of a book.
