I'm not telling what happens, otherwise it will spoil it for you. But I am still recovering from last night's episode.

I'm almost ready.

My yarn for the DA knit a-long (KAL) should be here tomorrow! The idea is to have swatched by Sunday and then cast on just before the show starts. Realistically I want to give the show my full attention so I'll probably cast on before and then knit after the show. Since it's a mystery KAL I still don't know what it is except that it's not a hat or socks and it is an accessory with some lace in it. So maybe a scarf or shawl?

I unfortunately know of one spoiler (which I won't share) but I'm excited to see how even that plays out.

How fun!  I saw you mention this on the other topic Milla started, but didn't pay attention.  Please keep us updated on your progress.  Wish I had that kind of talent.

There's a program on called "Secrets of Highclere Castle" on television just preceding "Downton Abbey" tonight. It's about the history of the castle where DA is filmed.

I just this minute finished watching the show on Highclere.  How beautiful and interesting.  I've got to find the next "Secrets of ....." shows and make sure I record them.

I enjoyed it too!  I really liked the "Lady" of the castle.   :D  She seemed very down to earth.  I was amazed at the numbers (5000 acres, and so many windows, etc). I'd love to visit and take a tour some day.
Did you watch the new Downton Abbey episode as well?  I recorded it and watched the first half (to the end of the church wedding scenes).

Yes, that was the finale.
BTW, it says in the interview linked below, that PBS is considering running the US version at the same time as the UK version next season.

**SPOILER** (don't even look at the words in the link below if you haven't seen the finale )

I don't think that any Downton fans liked that turn of events, but they had to do it.  :(
Good interview with Downton exec Gareth Neame

I'm looking forward to the premier of season 4 tomorrow in the U.S.  I read that there will be several new characters.
Can't wait to hear what will come out of Violet's mouth next & see how poor Mrs. Patmore deals with the next newfangled appliance!
Did you watch, Milla?

You guys may want to go back and watch this after all.  I read that this year's approach was quite different from last year's.

Yes, that was a sad episode, for sure.  But I still think it's one of the better tv programs being offered now, & I wasn't upset enough about it to quit watching, I guess.  I probably watch too much television this time of year!
