Uppiesbeads59: Youtuber and Blogger
« on: March 23, 2013, 11:38:56 AM »
I've been watching Tammy for a while now and I had meant to let you all know about her. She's 52 and has a YouTube Channel as well as Blog. Her concentration is more towards skincare and hair. But, she has great makeup tips for mature ladies.  She's quite a beauty and yes, I have a "girl on girl' crush on her. She's has a great sense of humor and just a lovely person all around.   If you have watched her videos, I recommend highly that you do and subscribes. There are too many of the young tubers out there and not enough good channels for the mature and beautiful ladies. I've been meaning to let her know about TTB and maybe give a shut out in one of her videos.  She knows me quite well now.  I do comment on almost all her videos.

Solidarity sisters! Let's give her channel a bit a boost not that she needs it.

She loves beauty mask - BB, I think you will love her recommendations
She gives seasonal nail colors update for our nail polish lovers
She uses essential oils in her daily routines along with high/low end products to us

I love that she's our age group and knows what we are battling against.

I have seen some of her YouTube stuff and subscribed quite some time ago.  I admit I have not been following up on the emails, however, but this is just the push I need to get back to following her.  She is extremely active, isn't she?

She is. She also juices and have great recipes. She targets more on skincare because she believes that a good skin care is not a replacement for any makeup.

I agree. They don't share the problems we currently experience. I've seen some youtubers within our age group but they all reviews high end products only. Tammy, at least provides d/s alternatives if it works for her.  I'm glad you like her, too.

I'd love to see more mature women featuring not such high-end products myself. After all, there are legions of us who have to be careful with our money, and just go with drugstore or simple natural. We're not all affluent you know.

What I like about her and that she will recommend high ends and middle and d/s products. She finds masks at TJ Maxx, Marshall's, etc.  She provides options.  I've ran into a few mature youtubers and it looked like they were geared toward high end products only.  And, that's fine but not enough to keep me watching.   :-)

Thanks for the recommendation, SusieQ. I watched her video on perfecting a thinning eyebrow and the one on facial hair/peach fuzz (feeling a little paranoid about the latter one  :-\ )

She's really a kick. I want to watch more of these when I get the chance.

I subscribed.  She has such pretty skin!

Does anyone know where to get the little hair trimmer/razor-like thing she recommended?  I want to buy them in bulk online     Seriously.   If anyone has one like that, can you please look on the package and tell me a website?

Darn, I was just at Sally's. I think these are the ones. I looked at the view larger and they looked like it.

I have also seen these and other similar ones on Amazon.  Panasonic has a battery-powered one that is made in the same shape.  I wonder how cost-effective each would be?

Just thinking about it makes me want to hide but another younger youtuber - nurberxo - and DrSchultz talk about deplaning.  It's funny that they quote each other, too.  I'm thinking about it but just kinda scared at the same time.   :)

Deplaning?  Is that like dermaplaning, I wonder?  Wait - they use a scalpel??  I will just stick with my little razors!

Could be...not sure. When I first watched Nur explain and then I watched Dr. S, I didn't want to try it. I was a bit scared of cutting myself.  :P

Thanks!  Looking forward to possibly finally having one, without any post-razor irritations.  I'm thinking I will use these as one-time use and throw them out, so that I don't risk any probs from them not being clean enough for re-use.  I'll have to see.  2x use max, I would think.  Will definitely post back!

Since I'm not sure when this week mine are arriving and I needed to get my face in shape for the upcoming weekend, I used a similar product that's Sephora brand yesterday morning.  JMO: do not buy the Sephora ones!  The metal part is small, and has vertical crimps/ridges on it. Made for a scratchy experience and my skin was very irritated last night and this morning.  And I really didn't press hard!!!

So now I will likely wait a few weeks before I try the Tinkle razor.  :(    I may only use them once each. Would cost about $12 per year with monthly use and I may save myself extra irritation if the blade isn't sharp enough or clean enough.

Oh no, Marci!  I'm sorry to hear about the Sephora brands.  I hate that you had to find out this one yourself.

I'll watch Tammy's video again and find out how many times she uses one. Take care!!

I asked her. She said she re-uses and cleans with alcohol after use.  I didn't catch this in the video.

I bought the Sephora ones last year so had them in the house already. I think they have to hit the trash when I get home.

I love Crazy Miss Tammy and have watched for over a year. Recently she met her online friend, Joelle, and did a video of the meeting, it was heart warming. I love how honest she is about aging, that it's no cup of tea but enjoy life anyway.
