"Standing in the Rainbow" by Fannie Flagg

Ok, this is complete fluff, but I just finished it & found it to be a delightful escape from all seriousness!
It has me longing for a life set in 1940's middle America. I know the book romanticized life from back then, but I just love the thought of a simpler time.

I know she is very funny from seeing her on TV, but I have only read Fried Green Tomatoes at the Whistle Stop Cafe, which I loved.  Thanks for telling us about this one!
