I`ve never used coconut oil. I've used pure argan oil three times per week and it's made my hair much softer and shinnier. maybe I should try mix it with coconut oil. Has anyone tried it?.  :)

I dare not even think about any oil with my superfine hair! I know argan oil is in, but there is no way I am letting it near my hair. I did use a coconut oil shampoo from India in my teens though. It made my wavy hair really glossy and beautiful. I guess you ladies who use coconut oil have thick, coarse hair, right?
Oh and I did sometimes mash a very ripe avocado and use it as a pre-shampoo hair mask in my teens.  I kept my hair longer then.
Nowadays I wear a layered bob and try not to weigh it down.

Coconut oil is a fantastic product for creating a hair masque for very dry, brittle hair. Melt it down (not too hot!) and smooth it into your dry hair. Massage it in and then wrap your head in foil. Leave for 15 minutes and do not answer the door to any callers!  Then wash out with non-paraben shampoo and condition. When you hair is dry, rub a tiny bit of coconut oil into your palms and stroke it through your mane. No more brittle, dull locks! is an online magazine for women over 45.

I also tried coconut oil and I liked it, but recently I opened flexseed oil for myself. I made different masks with it twice a week. My hair has become strong and brilliant.

I like using oils on my face but not on my hair. I used argan oil once or twice but it made my hair a bit limp and dull. I prefer a conditioning mask (it is oil based, but it has other ingredients too)
