This was so much fun to look through.   I was a young kid in the 60's, but I did have the boots, & remember thinking how cool I was!   I was not so happy with the pixie haircut my grandmother got me though.

Who is your favourite? and who do you think has aged better? (talking about the ones who are still with us, sadly quite a few have passed away...)
Imo Audrey Hepburn and Jackie Kennedy were the classiest, Jane Birkin was one of a kind (and still is), Twiggy has aged well but she dresses very 'safe' these days if you know what I mean...
Would you add any others  to the list? Me: Julie Christie, Claudia Cardinale.

That was a fun look back in time. I have to confess, though, that I didn't recognize many of them except by name. I lived a very protected life in the 60s, living in small town America with perhaps over-protective parents. 60s fashions certainly made statements, didn't they?

There is an excellent exhibition on at the National Portrait Gallery, ‘100 years of Vogue’. I saw it yesterday with a friend. Amazing photos. My friend and I bemoaned the fact that we got rid of all our 60s and 70s clothes, they would be vintage now. She used to save up all her Saturday job money  to buy Biba fashions, I actually had a Mary Quant dress…
Here’s a link to the exhibition:
