Can botox treatment recommended for oily skin?
« on: May 31, 2016, 12:41:48 AM »
Hey! I'm 54 years old and live in Mississauga. I have recently noticed that there are lines and wrinkles on my face and I look like I'm in my 60's which I really hate. I'm planning to get botox treatment from McLean clinic in my locality as suggested by my friends. But I was wondering whether botox treatment is recommended for oily skin.

As far as I know, Botox doesn't affect whether one's skin is oily or not. All it does is soften the appearance of wrinkles and basically paralyze the facial muscles that contribute to wrinkling. However, what you USE on your skin can make a difference one way or the other. A good cosmetic dermatologist could help you sort this out - you might not need Botox at all, but rather a Rx skin product. Best of luck!:)

I don't like needles so I don't think that I will ever to Botox.  I agree with cara but you can always do both if you are really want to try Botox.  Good luck, viola!!
